Anne Moniz

Anne Moniz provides audiences with an unrelenting exposition and celebration of the human condition. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Moniz has been writing and playing music around the area for many years and has recently been seeking to expand her horizons and take herself a bit more seriously. This desire led her to attend the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART), from which she graduated in 2015. She has learned skills such as basic audio recording techniques and music production, which she is now utilizing to independently release a debut EP this year with her band "Nimway".
Moniz volunteers some of her time participating in the community theatre scene. Her recent contributions include sound design for a 2016 production of "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me", written by Frank McGuinness, and performed at The Palace Theatre. It won "Most Outstanding Drama" at the 2016 Brickenden Awards. She was also a 2017 Jack Richardson London Music Award nominee in the category of "Contemporary Singer-Songwriter".
